Learning with a scientific approach is a learning that consists of observing activities (to identify things you want to know), formulating questions (and formulating hypotheses), trying / collecting data (information) with various techniques, associating / analyzing / processing data (information) And draw conclusions and communicate results consisting of conclusions to acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes. These steps can be followed by creating activities. Teacher       : Good morning my student Student       : Good morning too, sir Teacher       : Now, I will explain about Atomic structure. The atom consists of protons, neutrons and electrons. The nucleus of atoms is composed of a number of protons and neutrons. The number of protons in the atomic nucleus determines the charge of the nucleus, while the nucleus of the nucleus is determined by the number ...

What Is Acid Rain?          Acid rain is made up of water droplets that are unusually acidic because of atmospheric pollution, most notably the excessive amounts of sulfur and nitrogen released by cars and industrial processes. Acid rain is also called acid deposition because this term includes other forms of acidic precipitation such as snow.        Acidic deposition occurs in two ways: wet and dry. Wet deposition is any form of precipitation that removes acids from the atmosphere and deposits them on the Earth’s surface. Dry deposition polluting particles and gases stick to the ground via dust and smoke in the absence of precipitation. This form of deposition is dangerous, however, because precipitation can eventually wash pollutants into streams, lakes, and rivers.      Acidity itself is determined based on the pH level of the water droplets. PH is the scale measuring the amoun...

Chemistry Vocabulary

Acid - An acid is a compound with a pH of less than 7 that forms hydrogen ions when   dissolved in water. Acids react when coming into contact with bases and some metals to form salts. Atom - The atom is a basic unit of matter and the smallest unit of an element. It consists of a nucleus which is surrounded by a cloud of electrons.   Acid rain -rainwater with an acidic pH, a result of air pollution by sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides. Acidic oxide -a covalent oxide that dissolves in water to give an acidic solution.  Base - A base is a substance with a pH higher than seven. Bases are defined as donating a pair of valence electrons. Bond - An attraction between atoms that forms chemical substances Bond energy   - the energy required to break a given chemical bond. Bond length - the distance between the nuclei of the two atoms that are connected by a bond. Carbon cycle - A method by which carbon is constantly moved throughout the biosphere. Chemical ...

Compare and Contrast Of The Elements

Helium and Oxygen are two chemical elements in the periodic table though a significant difference can be observed between them based on their chemical properties. They are both gases at room temperature; but, Helium is a chemically inert noble gas. The chemical properties of these two elements are completely different from each other. For example; Oxygen quickly reacts with many elements and compounds, while Helium does not react with any. This can be identified as the key difference between Helium and Oxygen. However, the inert behavior of helium has so many commercial applications, and also Oxygen is one of the most invaluable gas for both human and animals. What is Helium? Helium is the second most abundant element in the universe, and it is the second lightest element in the periodic table . It is a tasteless, odorless and colourless monatomic gas at room temperature with a low boiling point. Helium is the first member of the noble gas family, and it is the least ...
